About the Event
Brigitte Kaltenbacher from www.beekaymakes.co.uk will run the workshop at Hawkers Farm, Stour Provost, SP8 5 LZ.
In the morning you will learn how to identify and gather the nettles which are most suitable for fibre extraction. During processing we will share stories and learn about nettle tales and folklore.
We will then move on to learning how to extract the nettle fibre and turn it initially into string.
For anyone interested in spinning we can look at ways to extract the fibre to make it suitable for spinning.
The workshop will run from 10.15 - 4.pm including a break for lunch. The cost is £55 which includes tea and coffee. To book a place email Jennifer Morisetti at:info@creatinghealthyhomes.com or call 07801 240103.
